Eligibility to participate: All persons aged 18 and over who make a purchase at Urlaubswelt Harz, Adolph-Roemer-Straße 20, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Germany, during the promotion period or who seek advice and thus receive a raffle ticket are eligible to participate.

Promotion period: The raffle ticket promotion takes place from 15 June to 31 August 2024.

Conditions of participation: To take part in the raffle ticket promotion, customers must make a purchase at Urlaubswelt Harz or seek advice during the promotion period. There is one raffle ticket per consultation or purchase, regardless of value.

Drawing and winner announcement: The winners will be drawn on Sunday, 8 September, during the citizens' breakfast at the Clausthal-Zellerfeld town festival on the Marktkirchenplatz in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The draw will be made by drawing from a jar containing all the tickets and will be held in the public area. The winners will be publicly announced on stage with their first name, surname and place of residence.

Prizes: The prizes will be raffled off among all eligible participants. The exact number and type of prizes will be announced on the website www.oberharz.de.

Prize handover: The prizes can either be collected at the raffle itself on 08/09/24 at Marktkirchenplatz or afterwards from 09/09/24 at Urlaubswelt Harz until 15/10/24. If the winners are not present at the draw, they will be notified by telephone or e-mail using the contact details provided on their ticket that their prize is ready for collection at Urlaubswelt.

Cash payment and transferability: Cash payment of prizes is not possible. The prizes are not transferable.

Data protection: The data collected from participants will be used exclusively for the realisation of the prize draw campaign and will be deleted after the end of the campaign. Making Christmas decorations together or building a gingerbread house increases the anticipation of Christmas. This year, the Oberharz Tourist Information Centre will once again be selecting the most beautiful Oberharz Christmas house "Typically Oberharz". This time, however, it is not about the exterior decoration of your own house, as in previous years, but about a small miniature house that is supposed to be "Typically Oberharz". What does the Oberharz stand for? Mining? Traditions? Walpurgis and witches? Special buildings such as churches, tunnels and water wheels or winding towers? There are no limits to your imagination!

Participants can build, stick on and decorate their very own building with Christmas decorations and thus present the Upper Harz Mountains in Christmas miniature format. The Upper Harz Christmas structure 2024 must not exceed a maximum size of 30cm x 30cm x 35cm. The structure does not have to be edible, but can also be made of gingerbread and intended for consumption. All building materials are permitted.

Who will build the most beautiful Christmas house?

The competition is open to anyone who would like to build a structure with a connection to the Upper Harz villages in the mountain and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld with its districts of Altenau, Torfhaus, Buntenbock, Schulenberg, Clausthal-Zellerfeld and Wildemann.

The self-made Christmas house may not exceed a size of 30cm x 30cm x 35cm and may be made of gingerbread or other material.

Each participant must hand in their self-made house, stating the name of the structure, to Urlaubswelt Harz between 2 December and 9 December. The houses will then be displayed in the shop window of the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Office/Urlaubswelt Harz at Adolph-Roemer-Straße 20 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld until 21 December. A public vote, which will take place in the shop window, on the website www.oberharz.de and via social media, will decide which building is the most beautiful Christmas house.

Participation in the competition/lottery is only possible under the conditions of participation listed here. By participating in the competition/contest, the participant expressly recognises these conditions of participation. The Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Office reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition at any time.

Participation in the competition takes place by handing in the Christmas construction with the corresponding registration form at Urlaubswelt Harz, Adolph-Roemer-Str. 20, 38678 Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Each participant may only submit one house for the competition.

Participation is not dependent on the purchase of goods or the utilisation of a service from the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Office. The purchase of a product or the utilisation of a service does not increase the chances of winning. In the event of winning, participation in the competition includes consent to the naming of the first name and surname on the "Oberharz" Facebook and Instagram page as well as the homepage www.oberharz.de. In addition, the participant allows the organiser to use the submitted images free of charge for an unlimited period of time and space.

Who can take part?

• Persons aged 6 and over are eligible to participate. Employees of the organiser are excluded from participation.
• Prizes will be awarded in two categories: House builders between the ages of 6 and 14 and House builders aged 15 and over.
• The prizes will be drawn per house. This means that a house built by two children, for example, can only receive one prize.

When does the competition start and end?

• The competition starts on 02.12.2024 and ends on 21.12.2024.
• Houses may only be handed in at Urlaubswelt Harz between 9 am on 2 December and 6 pm on 9 December in order to take part in the competition.

What will be raffled? A total of 3 prizes will be awarded per category:

Urlaubswelt Harz will put together a small surprise package for each.

Cash payment of the prizes is not possible. Each participant can only take part in the prize draw once per competition/raffle.

How will the winner be determined and published? The submitted works will be displayed in the shop window of Urlaubswelt Harz in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. The shop window will contain a link to the voting website. Voting will also be organised via the website www.oberharz.de and social media. Voting will take place online using the Microsoft Forms voting tool.

Anyone over the age of 18 can vote. Participation in the vote is only permitted once.

What happens to participants' data? The processing of personal data of data subjects is carried out in accordance with the applicable European and national legislation. Participants consent to their data being collected, processed and used for the purpose of participating in and organising the competition and to their first name and surname being published on the Oberharz Facebook and Instagram pages and on the Oberharz homepage if they win. The data will not be used for purposes other than those stated in the conditions of participation. This consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future by sending an email to info@oberharz.de.

Miscellaneous The participant releases the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Centre from any liability. Legal recourse is excluded. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply exclusively. Should any of these conditions of participation be or become invalid, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining conditions of participation. These conditions of participation may be amended by the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Tourist Information Centre at any time without separate notification.
