Upper Harz Lake and Summer Festival 2027
Look forward to games in the water and on land, and a colourful fair at the Clausthal Waldseebad – an event for young and old alike! Summer in the Upper Harz is brilliant! During your summer holiday in the Harz , come along to the Upper Harz Lake and Summer Festival on Sunday 11 July 2027, from 11.00 to 18.00 at the Waldseebad Clausthal-Zellerfeld,
which forms part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Upper Harz Water System , featuring a huge programme of water and land-based activities for the whole family. Admission to the family festival costs €4.50 per person (aged 6 and over), including all water and land-based games as well as access to the swimming area.

The programme
On and in the water:
- Walking on water with large water balls
- Inflatable boats (competition 14:30–16:30, otherwise available for free use)
- Stand-up paddleboards
- Water polo area
- Swimming area at the Waldseebad

On land:
- Kids’ Adventure Course – Put your fitness to the test on the adventure course (competition 12:00–15:00, otherwise open for free use)
- Giant soap bubble artist with hands-on activity
- AOK clown bouncy castle with slide
- Bubble football for teams of three
- Play area with slackline, badminton, disc golf, giant Mikado and balancing hemispheres
- Beach volleyball court
- Special stamp point for the Harz Hiking Badge
- Colourful row of stalls with treats and drinks
