Upper Harz Lake and Summer Festival 2025
Look forward to games in the water and on land, a colourful mile in the Waldseebad Clausthal - an event for young and old! Summer in the Oberharz is cool! During your summer Harz holiday, the Oberharzer See- und Sommerfest awaits you on Sunday, 20 July 2025, from 11.00 to 18.00 at the Waldseebad Clausthal-Zellerfeld,
which belongs to theUpper Harz Water Regal UNESCO World Heritage SiteAdmission to the family festival costs €4.50 per person (aged 6 and over), including all water and land games (except beach volleyball) and swimming.

The programme
- Beach volleyball
- Tiger duck rodeo and competitions
- Dinghy rides and running on the water with large water balls
- Aqua paddlers for children
- Super highlight stand up paddle
- Pirate bouncy castle organised by the AOK
- Tiger duck rodeo (competition 12-15 h, otherwise free use possible)
- Bubbelsoccer for teams of 3 to play
- Special stamping station for the Harz hiking pin
- Colourful stand mile with treats and drinks
- and much more
Visitors can of course swim and splash around in the Waldseebad or soak up the sun with ice cream and lemonade from the shore. There is also a lot on offer on land: the colourful mile of stands includes delicacies for every taste as well as information and games at the stands.
Three competitions invite you to test your strength:
- 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Beach volleyball tournament for children and adults (entry fee for adults 5 euros per person)
- 12 to 3 p.m.: TIGERENTEN-RODEO children's competition: Who can stay on the tiger duck the longest? (start free of charge)
- 3 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.: DINGHY BOAT REGATTA FOR FAMILIES, FRIENDS AND COMPANIES: Compete against each other with 2 to 4 people in a dinghy on a fixed water course and secure the best time (start free of charge).
Participants in the competitions will receive attractive prizes.
The winners of the beach volleyball, the Tigerenten Rodeo and the rubber dinghy regatta win attractive prizes!
Beach volleyball tournament for adults: 1st place: Travel voucher for 2 people, 2 nights in Schönhagen/Baltic Sea 2nd place: Voucher for admission to Pullman City Harz, 2 people 3rd place: Voucher for Thale Adventure World cable cars | ascent & descent/cable car family (2 children + 2 adults) Dinghy regatta: All participants win attractive voucher prizes and can choose from a large pot.
