HarzClassixFestival 2025
Classical music is a cultural asset that needs to be preserved, and the organisers of the HarzClassixFestival are committed to this principle, as they want to give young people in particular access to classical music. What is special about this festival is the central pedagogical approach, which consists of familiarising young people with classical music without compromising on quality and standard.
For example, pupils and students can purchase a ticket for a significantly reduced price and thus experience first-class concerts (these tickets are only available at the Bergapotheke Zellerfeld). Look forward to top-class classical music in 2025 and secure tickets in advance at Urlaubswelt Harz!
Further information will follow shortly.
What you can expect this year
To kick things off, the NDR Radiophilharmonie will be performing a popular Beethoven programme under the direction of French conductor and oboist François Leleux in the Marktkirche Clausthal on Friday, 26 September. In addition to the composer's legendary 5th Symphony, we are particularly pleased that we have been able to win Frank Peter Zimmermann, a world-class violinist, for Beethoven's Violin Concerto and his debut in Clausthal-Zellerfeld. With Robeat, one of the best beatboxers with almost unlimited vocal abilities, a vocal sensation will join us in the auditorium of Clausthal University of Technology on 28 October. The young up-and-coming pianist Evgeny Konnov will also be performing Liszt's Études d'exécution transcendante, the Olympus of virtuosity and a Jugend musiziert prizewinner. For the finale on Saturday, 22 November, we will welcome Ksenija Sidorova, currently the best accordionist in the world, to Sympatec's Pulverhaus. She will be accompanied by the Signum Saxophone Quartet, the leading and "Rising Star" wind ensemble, which performs worldwide between the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and Carnegie Hall.
The concerts are complemented by a series of events for young audiences, a workshop, concert introductions and music education.
