Easter in the Harz Mountains promises fun for the whole family! During the day, colourful Easter egg hunts, creative craft activities and fun events await visitors of all ages. In the evenings, warming Easter fires and tasty delicacies create a cosy atmosphere.
Adventure hiking: Stamp round on the Altenau Heart Trail
Explore the Altenau Heart Trail with a special hiking pass and 7 stamps on the Harz Hiking Needle stamp circuit. A unique pin can be purchased as a memento of the hike with proof of the stamps.
Walpurgis 2025 in the Oberharz
On 30 April 2025, Altenau will be transformed into a world full of witches, devils and magical moments! A magical night with dancing Bruchberg witches, a bubbling witches' cauldron and the legendary witches' house awaits you at the big Walpurgis spectacle in the Kurgastzentrum Altenau.
