Fit and active in healthy mountain air at the Nordic active Cup in the Oberharz
We look forward to the Nordic aktiv Cup 2026: Nordic walking is an exercise option that knows no age restrictions and can have a positive effect on health. Practised as an endurance sport, it not only represents a real challenge in competitions, but is also a lot of fun.
With the Upper Harz Nordic Active Cup 2026, GLC Glücksburg Consulting AG, operator of the Upper Harz tourist information centres and tourism marketer for the region, is organising a series of six sporting competitions in all six towns in cooperation with the Altenau, Buntenbock, Sankt Andreasberg and Clausthal-Zellerfeld ski clubs, as well as the SV Viktoria Bad Grund and, for the first time, the Hohegeiß ski club.
Stay active
Every Nordic walker who takes part in five out of six events will receive a gold cup, those who take part in four events will receive a silver cup and those who take part in three events will receive a bronze cup. The cups will be awarded during the last Nordic Walking Challenge on 27 September 2026 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
For the first time, Hohegeiß is also one of the organisers of the Nordic Walking aktiv Cup with the Hohegeiß Ski Club. In 2026, all Cup runners will be able to discover a brand new walking area on three DSV-certified routes.
For all events of the Upper Harz Nordic active Cup 2026, every participant will receive a special Harz hiking pin stamp.

2nd start times: at 10:00 am 15 km (sporty) / 10:30 am 10.3 km / 11:00 am 6.5 km, each with a mass start on the grounds of the Teufelstal Sports Park (Im Teufelstal 12) Bad Grund.

Entry fee:
(€8 for adults, €4 for young people <16) applies to online registration and must be transferred in advance to the account specified in the registration form. In the event of non-participation, there is no entitlement to a refund of the organisation fee. Late registrations on site are possible (fee €2 for adults, €1 for young people <16). The entry fee includes the distribution of drinks (water) and food (fruit, muesli bars) on the routes, certificate, sticker, first aid service and a food voucher for the Bistro Spritzenhaus in St. Andreasberg.
