Festival of lights at the Okerteich forest swimming pool in Altenau
On 01 August 2026 , you can once again look forward to a great evening at the Okerteich forest swimming pool with family and friends. For the 26th time, the Okerteich Altenau will shine in hundreds of candles and lights. At around 9 p.m., we will set out ships of light on the Okerteich together with the young and old light fans. The ships are free for children with admission.
Ships of light can also be purchased on site. The festival of lights will be accompanied by a variety of live music from several groups. There will also be a variety of regional savoury and sweet dishes as well as regional drinks and mixed drinks.
The Okerteich shines in the splendour of the lights
In addition to impressive illuminations in a special romantic atmosphere, a varied live music programme awaits all visitors. A laser show over the Okerteich pond is the highlight of the evening.
The path of lights around the pond, which is also illuminated from around 9 pm,is particularly popular . Guests will find various light installations and creative lighting elements around the Okerteich. At dusk, these invite you to take a short walk with breaks and amaze visitors. The stations will also be suitable for souvenir photos.
