The HarzCard - free admission to almost 100 attractions in the Harz Mountains
With the HarzCard, guests enjoy free admission to numerous museums, castles, caves, leisure parks and many other attractions throughout the Harz Mountains. The card is subject to a charge, but once paid for, visitors gain access to a comprehensive range of leisure activities.
Around 100 partner businesses participate in the system. Everyone decides for themselves who visits how many attractions. There is no upper limit, only a time frame must be observed.
The HarzCard is available in two versions:
Option 1: HarzCard for 48 hours
This card is valid for two consecutive calendar days from the first use. The validity depends on the opening hours of the participating facilities. The use of the Harz narrow-gauge railway is not included.

Variant 2: HarzCard for 4 freely selectable days
This card is valid on any four calendar days within a year. The days do not have to be consecutive. Use beyond the turn of the year is not possible.

Validity and notes
The HarzCard is always limited to the calendar year in which it is used for the first time. After the first use, a transfer to the following year is excluded. Only unused cards can still be used in the following year. The card ends automatically on 31 December.
Local public transport is not included in the card. The Hatix service is available for this area.
In addition to the card, users receive a digital travel guide with all the information on the partner businesses and offers. The travel guide is available to download online.
A printed version can be obtained free of charge - but only in conjunction with the purchase of a HarzCard
