UNESCO World Heritage Week in the Upper Harz
A week full of special discoveries and experiences takes you above and below ground to historic sites, impressive watercourses, adits and traces of mining. The activities on offer showcase what remains of the World Heritage Site that can still be seen, experienced and is still in use today – from historic ponds and ditches to the ongoing expansion of the adits and the current work on the water management facilities.
This brings history to life and turns the Upper Harz World Heritage Site into a varied experience for families, adults and anyone who wishes to discover the region with fresh eyes.
