The Upper Harz Sled Dog Adventure will take place again in Clauthal-Zellerfeld in February 2025. Be there when the race for the "Great Harz Cup" and the International German Snow Championship of the SRSD e.V. takes place in all classes with at least five starters per class. Stand right next to the race track and cheer on the noble sled dogs and their mushers! At the Upper Harz Sled Dog Adventure, "amateur mushers" compete with the professionals of the scene.
Some of the top German and Dutch sled dog teams will be taking part in the 2025 sled dog race. But many "hobby mushers" who have caught the competition fever will also take part in the race with their beautiful sled dogs. Enjoy this exciting experience! Varied sled dog races
Spectators can look forward to numerous sled dog teams with many sled dogs of the Siberian Husky, Samoyed and Alaskan Malamute breeds. Only purebred sled dogs will be at the start. Experienced race director Wolf-Dieter Polz will once again be in charge of organising the race this year.
If there is not enough snow for a sled race, there will be an alternative programme: a meet & greet with mushers and dogs will take place on the Bockswieser Höhe from 4 to 5.30 pm. Following the free "Meet&Greet" at 5.30 pm, guests can then explore the race track with the mushers by torchlight for about an hour in the moonlight.
