Harzer Klosterwanderweg

The approximately 117.5 kilometre-long Harz Monastery Trail connects the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Goslar and Quedlinburg and leads to the cathedral in Halberstadt. The hiking trail is not only for hikers, but also for pilgrims. There are many spiritual things to discover along the way: imposing monasteries, pretty monastery gardens, distilleries, Gothic cloisters and quaint churches. Experience the spirituality of the monasteries, fish-filled monastery ponds, mystical forests and gentle mountains. The former inner-German border can also be discovered on this route. A mixture of culture, history and nature awaits you here, combined with a high level of relaxation and exercise.

 

Folgende Klöster und Kirchen befinden sich entlang des Harzer Klosterwanderweges: Neuwerkkirche Goslar, Stiftskirche St. Georg bei Goslar, Kloster Wöltingerode bei Vienenburg, Kloster Ilsenburg, Laurentiuskirche in Darlingerode, Kloster Drübeck, ehemaliger Klosterort Himmelspforten bei Wernigerode, Kloster Michaelstein bei Blankenburg, Bergkirche St. Bartholomew in Blankenburg (Harz), Wendhusen Monastery in Thale, St Cyriac's Collegiate Church in Gernrode, St Mary's Monastery in Quedlinburg, Burchardi Monastery and the cathedral in Halberstadt. This long-distance hiking trail is divided into seven stages, which are between ten and 22 kilometres long. Along the way there are various stamping points for theHarz hiking pinthat want to be hiked.
