Stave church Hahnenklee

You will find a church in the Bockwiese district that is truly unusual for Germany: The Gustav-Adolf-Stabkirche made of spruce wood was built according to the Norwegian model and impresses not only from the outside with its massive construction made of spruce wood. The Scandinavian style is also evident inside - elements from shipbuilding can be found here. No wonder, as it was missionary Vikings and shipbuilders who built this type of church in Norway in the past.
