Braunlage
Braunlage is considered to have the highest mountain in Lower Saxony at almost 1000 metres above sea level. The Wurmberg is known for having the longest cable car in northern Germany.
It transports visitors comfortably to the summit at any time of year, and in winter you can descend the slope quickly on a sledge, snowboard or skis. If there is no snow, the descent is a beautiful hike.
High up on the Wurmberg
The Wurmberg is not only a popular downhill destination for piste skiers. Especially up here you can enjoy the marvellous view over the beautiful Harz Mountains. But there is also plenty of fun and entertainment: the Wurmberg Alm has a large playground, a petting zoo and a long marble run.
